ABOUT

Shatterbox is a grassroots, family-run charity forged from the shared experiences and passion of three parents with neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ children. We also have a wealth of knowledge in the Community and Youth Work field, inclusive of advocating for marginalized people for over two decades.

Recognizing the intersectionality between the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, Shatterbox aims to shine a light on the unique experiences of these individuals.

MISSION

Our mission at Shatterbox is to champion the rights, wellbeing, and inclusion of neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals, particularly those within the transgender community.

We strive to educate, advocate, and provide a supportive environment where all individuals can thrive and be their authentic selves.

Through research, community engagement, and policy advocacy, we seek to transform the current healthcare landscape to better cater to the needs of our community.

VISION

Our vision is a world where neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially transgender people, are fully embraced, respected, and supported.

We envision an Ireland where suitable healthcare is accessible to all, and where every individual is empowered to live their truth without fear of discrimination or exclusion.
